Installing Applications on Devices (Android & iOS)

Overview
In order to test you apps on the devices you will need to first install them on the devices, while you can so this using multiple methods like installing from the local machine, play store or application repository. Knowing how to effectively upload the applications and installing them makes the testing process more effecient and effective.
Pre-requisite
- Login to the platform
- Select the desired device from the Device page
- Ensure that you have your apps uploaded on the platform repository. (Uploading Apps on platform steps)
Installing Apps Option
Once you click on "INSTALL" icon button present on the right pane under "Quick Actions". Once clicked, a pop-up is displayed which will have two options
1. Install from my app/data
2. Upload App
Important: You can follow the same steps for both Andorid and iOS Apps. However, for iOS apps, you will need to resign the app for it's readiness.
Installing Apps using My App/Data
Click the Install Icon on the Device Connection Page
Select "Install from my app/data"
From the list of apps, choose the one you want to install and click on "Install"
A success notification will appear at the bottom of the screen and also the app will autostart on the device.
Installing Apps using Upload App
Click the Install Icon on the Device Connection Page.
Click on "Browse APP" to browse and upload the app from the local system.
The app will automatically get installed and open on the device.
Note: “Upload App” takes more time than "Install from My App/Data".
